1.Introduction of survival of the fattest statue

This is the survival of the fattest statue. It is a profound bronze sculpture aimed at presenting the imbalance and unfair
distribution of global resources. This sculpture was created by sculptors Jens Galschi ø t and Lars Calmar in 2002.

This 3.5 meter high bronze sculpture showcases a profound scene: a hungry African boy carrying a fat Western woman on his
back. The woman in the sculpture holds a balance, symbolizing justice, but her eyes are tightly closed. This indicates that it has
degenerated into arrogance. It also represents a reluctance to see obvious injustice.

The  Fat Woman Sculpture reflects the unfair distribution of global resources. Boys carrying heavy burdens represent impoverished
regions, while obese women represent affluent Western societies. This stark contrast reveals the reality of imbalanced resource
allocation and reminds us to pay attention to global poverty issues. Secondly, the image of a woman with her eyes closed symbolizes
a disregard for obvious injustice. She cannot see the boy’s predicament and is unwilling to face unfair reality. This reflects a egocentrism
and indifferent attitude to social problems, calling for people’s attention and action.

It calls for people to pay attention to global poverty issues and reflect on their own values and behaviors. Bronze figure sculpture, with
its unique and eye-catching appearance, triggers viewers to think about social issues and promotes social change.
