1. Introduction of Large Seated Buddha sculpture
This marble Buddha statue depicts Shakyamuni Buddha in a seated posture, its overall form dignified and stable, with harmonious proportions. Constructed entirely of dense white marble, its surface is finely polished. The Buddha in the Large Seated Buddha statue sits in the lotus position, his body upright yet relaxed, conveying a balanced state of meditation after enlightenment. His right hand is raised, palm facing outward, fingers naturally extended, forming the abhaya mudra (gesture of reassurance), symbolizing comfort, protection, and inner peace; his left hand rests on his lap, palm facing upward, the gesture subtle and restrained.
The Buddha’s face is realistically and delicately sculpted, with harmonious proportions. His eyes are slightly lowered, his expression serene and composed, revealing tranquility and compassion. His hair is clearly curled, his ushnisha (cranial protuberance) full, and his earlobes long. The robe drapes naturally from his shoulders, its folds unfolding along the body’s structure, the folds flowing smoothly and subtly, enhancing the overall three-dimensionality and depth.
