1. Introduction of Sculpture Cupid
Cupid, the Roman god of love, corresponding to Eros in Greek mythology, is typically depicted as a winged child. His most iconic feature is his bow and arrow, symbolizing the arising and changing nature of love. Legend says that Cupid’s golden arrows bring love, while another arrow brings distance and rejection; thus, he is seen as a symbol of control over emotions and attraction. This Sculpture Cupid set is based on Cupid, presenting a complete figure in two versions, one holding a bow and the other an arrow.
One Cupido Statue holds a bow in the left and an arrow in the right, while the other holds a bow in the right and an arrow in the left. The overall composition is complementary, making them suitable for display in pairs. The cherub figures in the Sculpture Cupid are well-proportioned, with natural transitions between the abdomen and chest, and a stable yet relaxed posture. The lower body is wrapped in fabric and knotted at the side.
