1. Introduction of Lady Head Bust

Belgian sculptor Anton Nelson (1880–1910) was one of the most important artists active in the Art Nouveau movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Although he died young and left behind only a few works, his sculptures are known for their delicate characterization and symbolic composition. He excelled in using bronze to create female busts that combined natural elements with spiritual themes, showing the exploration of freedom, awakening and beauty in that era. As one of his masterpieces, this Lady Head Bust, Le réveil (meaning “The Awakening”), is not only a delicate work of art, but also a microcosm of the spirit of that era.

This Bronze Female Bust depicts a young woman with a calm and focused face and eyes looking into the distance. The Lady Head Bust is elegant and natural, with the woman’s hair tied back and the robe on her chest wrapped around her body in flowing curves, showing the smooth lines of the Art Nouveau style. The chest sculpture cleverly incorporates a cock with its head held high, with delicate feathers and lively expressions, echoing the theme of the work. Arturban Statue can customize various bust statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
