1. Introduction of Empire Bust
Napoleon Bonaparte was the most legendary military strategist and politician in France in the 19th century. He was crowned as the emperor of the First French Empire. He promoted the code, reformed the system, and conquered most of Europe with his unparalleled strategic mind. In artistic creation, Napoleon’s image is often portrayed in a style similar to that of the ancient Roman Caesar, highlighting his imperial demeanor and symbolic significance. This Empire Bust is a concrete reproduction of Napoleon as the “new Caesar”, wearing a laurel wreath on his head, implying victory, honor and legitimacy of rule.
This Napoleon Marble Bust made of white marble is solemn and realistic throughout. The Empire Bust has a clear facial contour and deep and firm eyes. Its hairstyle is carefully carved, and the smooth lines complement the laurel wreath; the fruits and leaves on the wreath are clearly layered, wrapped around the back of the head and tied behind the neck.
