Atlas is a Titan in Greek mythology, the son of Iapetus and brother of Prometheus and Epimetheus. He was an enemy of Zeus in the Titanic Wars and, after his defeat, was punished by holding up the sky forever to prevent the reunion of heaven and earth. During Heracles’s Twelve Labors, Atlas helped him retrieve the golden apples from the Garden of the Hesperides. Legend has it that Heracles temporarily held up the sky while Atlas took the opportunity to retrieve the apples, depicting a battle of wits between god and hero. This bronze Atlas Mythology Statue draws on ancient Greek artistic traditions.
The figure in the Atlas Bronze Statue kneels on one knee, arms raised to support a celestial sphere inscribed with the twelve signs of the zodiac, recreating the mythical scene of Atlas holding up the sky. The tense muscles of the figure convey the strength and pain of bearing the immense weight. The head of the Atlas Mythology Statue is slightly lowered, and the expression is resolute. The sculpture is made of bronze and the base is decorated with ancient Greek fretwork patterns. The overall shape is solemn and elegant, with a strong sense of mythological epic. Arturban Statue can customize various greek mythology statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
