Manjushri, an important bodhisattva closely associated with wisdom in Mahayana Buddhism, is known in Sanskrit as Mañjuśrī. Manjushri symbolizes prajna wisdom, clear judgment, and a profound understanding of Buddhist teachings. The lion in Buddhism symbolizes majesty, courage, and the resolute and powerful wisdom of a lion’s roar; therefore, Manjushri riding a lion is often interpreted as using wisdom to dispel ignorance. Manjushri Bodhisattva often appears alongside Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, who respectively symbolizes wisdom and vows, and together with Shakyamuni Buddha, they form the “Three Sages of the Avatamsaka Sutra.” This Manjushri Buddha Statue depicts the classic image of Manjushri Bodhisattva riding a blue lion, made entirely of bronze, with polychrome and gold embellishments to highlight the details of the figure and his mount.
Manjushri wears a golden crown and an orange-red robe with delicate patterns on the edges and hems. His expression is serene, his right hand raised in a mudra, and his left hand naturally extended forward. Below, the blue lion is robust, with its mane, paws, and facial structure clearly depicted. The base is supported by a colorful auspicious cloud structure. This Manjushri Buddha Statue is suitable for use in temples, Buddhist halls, religious and cultural spaces, or Buddhist art displays. This Manjushri Bodhisattva Statue can also be displayed in pairs with a Samantabhadra Bodhisattva sculpture. Arturban Statue can customize various buddha statues.
