1. Introduction of Tall Buddha Statue
This Shakyamuni Statue is depicted in a dignified standing posture, with elongated proportions and a serene and peaceful expression. The head features neatly styled spiral hair and a topknot, with slightly lowered eyes. The lines of the eyebrows, nose, and lips are softly rendered, and long earlobes extend to the sides of the face, exhibiting the solemn characteristics commonly found in traditional Buddhist iconography. A swastika symbol is inscribed on the chest, and the Buddha wears a layered, draping robe. The folds of the robe extend from the shoulders and arms to the legs and feet, conveying the thickness and drape of the fabric through smooth, continuous folds. The Buddha’s right hand in the Tall Buddha Garden Statue hangs down in the Varada Mudra (gesture of granting wishes), palm facing outward, fingers naturally extended. The other hand holds a lotus-shaped ritual implement.
Behind the Buddha is a large, circular, openwork halo, its interior decorated with intricate and symmetrical patterns of lotus flowers and scrolling foliage. The sculpture is made of bronze with a gold-bronze finish to enhance its overall unity. Clear details are preserved in the face, fingers, feet, and the edges of the robe.
