1. Introduction of Qi Baishi Bust
Qi Baishi (1864–1957) was a highly representative master of modern Chinese art, skilled in painting, calligraphy, seal carving, and poetry, especially renowned for his subjects such as flowers, birds, insects, shrimp, and crabs. His artistic language, seemingly concise, conveys a vivid sense of life with minimal brushstrokes, thus holding an important place in the history of Chinese ink painting. Qi Baishi worked as a carpenter in his early years before gradually turning to painting and seal carving; this folk experience imbued his works with a simple, vibrant, and lifelike quality. This Qi Baishi Bust is based on Qi Baishi’s later years, presented as a half-length bust.
The figure has a broad forehead, prominent brow bones, and a serene expression. Facial wrinkles and a long beard are meticulously depicted. The beard in the Qi Baishi Bust falls naturally from the chin, creating a flowing line that connects to the collar of the garment. The simple, square pedestal below is stable and suitable for display in a study, art gallery, cultural exhibition hall, or memorial space. 2. Production process of Qi Baishi Bust
| Step 1: Design Communication: | You supply us with several photographs with size. |
| Step 2: Project Consultation: | Our team will make a production plan, according to your design, budget, delivery time, or any other service. Our final aim is to supply high quality and cost-saving sculpture efficiently. |
| Step 3: Confirm Mold | We will make 1:1 clay or 3D mold. When finished clay mold, I will take photos for your reference. The clay mold can modify any details till you’re satisfied with it. |
| Step 4: Casting | We will use advanced lost wax casting technology to cast bronze or brass. |
| Step 5: Repair, welding & Chasing | We will repair the hole of statue, then welding and chasing, which is the key step to make fine high quality statue. |
| Step 6: Patina and wax surface | We will paint the color as the image the customer sent, then make wax surface. When finished statue, also I will take photos for your reference. After you are satisfied with all, I will arrange packing and shipment. |
