1. Introduction of Fat Buddha Statue
The Laughing Buddha (Budai Maitreya) is a common auspicious figure in Buddhism and folk beliefs, often associated with the Laughing Buddha from the Five Dynasties period. Unlike the solemn, seated Shakyamuni Buddha, the Laughing Buddha is typically depicted with a large belly, smiling face, bare chest, wide robes, and a rounded physique, symbolizing tolerance, joy, abundance, and optimism. This Fat Buddha Garden Statue showcases two different poses of the Laughing Buddha.
The first Fat Happy Buddha Statue is a seated pose, with a cheerful smile, a rounded body, one leg raised, and hands resting naturally at the sides, a relaxed posture suitable for placement near greenery, garden paths, or water features. The second is a standing pose, with hands raised high, holding a jewel, head slightly tilted back, and prayer beads worn on the chest, conveying a more welcoming, celebratory, and auspicious feeling.
