1. Introduction of Kangaroo Garden Ornament
The grey kangaroo is one of Australia’s most iconic marsupials, primarily comprising two subspecies: the eastern grey kangaroo and the western grey kangaroo. Widely distributed across grasslands, woodlands, and open scrublands in eastern and southern Australia, its evolutionary origins can be traced back to a marsupial lineage millions of years ago. Through long-term adaptation to arid and variable environments, it developed strong hind limbs and a well-developed tail for jumping and balance. This Kangaroo Garden Ornament realistically depicts a grey kangaroo, presenting a two-body composition, one in front and one behind.
In the Bronze Kangaroo Sculpture, the foreground kangaroo stands upright, its torso slightly leaning forward, forelimbs bent and close to its abdomen, with clearly defined hand details and distinct claws. Its head is slightly turned to one side, and its ears are erect. The hind limb muscles are expressed through undulating structures, with natural proportions to the knees and ankles, and a long tail extending straight to the ground. The background kangaroo, however, lowers its head close to the ground, supporting itself on its forelimbs, with a pronounced arch in its back and its tail extending backward, in a drinking posture.
