Igor Mitoraj (1944–2014), a Polish-French sculptor, is known for his fractured human sculptures that combine classical and modern styles. He studied art in France and Italy and was deeply influenced by ancient Greek and Roman sculptures. His works often show broken, masked, and quiet faces, exploring human nature, mythology, and the erosion of time. Mitoraj combines classical proportions with modern fragmented forms, giving sculptures a poetic and philosophical quality. His works are widely exhibited in important squares and museums in Europe. This Mask Statue, named “Per Adriano”, is one of his representative works, made of bronze, showing a huge mask-like human face.
The face of the Mask Statue is quiet and peaceful, with a straight nose, naturally closed lips, and fractures on the forehead and side edges. A geometric base that imitates a stone block is supported on the lower right side of the face, adding a modern element to the structure. The overall color of the Igor Mitoraj Sculpture is cold bronze, with an oxidized and mottled texture on the surface. Arturban Statue can customize various replica statues.
