1. Introduction of Warrior Garden Statue
This pair of marble Roman Statue Warriors depicts two classical warriors dressed in the same uniform. Both figures wear feathered helmets, breastplates, short military skirts and greaves, lace-up combat boots and short capes, and their overall outfits are complete and uniform. The muscle lines on the surface of the breastplate are clear, and the waist straps, skirt armor edges and cloth folds are accurately processed. The facial features of the figures are rigorous, and the facial expressions are focused and solemn. The two Warrior Garden Statues form a contrast in their postures: both have one leg in front and one leg in the back, forming a stable and symmetrical center of gravity.
One of them holds a short sword in the right arm, and the left arm is naturally hanging and slightly raised, in an open defensive posture; the other holds a sword in the right hand and points it diagonally in front of the body, with the left arm raised and bent, which is more protective. The gestures of the two people match the direction of holding the sword, forming a dynamic combination of “high-raised attack” and “low-position oblique stab”. Both statues stand on a square base, and the front of the base is decorated with a laurel wreath relief, which is a stable structure.
