1.Introduction of tombili statue
This bronze tombili statue is a unique and moving statue on the street of Istanbul, Türkiye. It is a bronze sculpture depicting a
carefree cat called Tombili. This statue is not only a city decoration artwork, but also a monument to commemorate the stray
cat that has roamed this street for over 10 years.
Tombili, a cat, is often taken care of by nearby neighborhoods, and the living conditions of stray cats in urban environments are
usually very harsh, with an average lifespan of only 3 years. However, Tombili found a relatively warm and caring home in this
neighborhood, becoming a small star in the eyes of local residents. Tombili’s reputation is not limited to neighborhoods. When
its leisurely photos became popular, they quickly became a widely circulated emoticon pack. Although Tombili passed away in
2016, locals decided to permanently commemorate him because this cat has become a generation of internet celebrities and is
deeply loved by people. So, this bronze statue was born.
The Famous Cat Statues presents the unique appearance and leisurely posture of Tombili. It sits on the steps, half lying and half
