1. Introduction of Statue of St Michael the Archangel Slaying Satan
The image of Saint Michael is primarily derived from Christian scriptures. In the Book of Daniel, he is called “the Great Prince” and “the Protector of your people” (Daniel 10, 12), fighting for God’s people in heaven; the Book of Jude mentions his dispute with the devil over the body of Moses, yet his continued reverence for God; and the Book of Revelation (Revelation 12:7–9) records Michael and the heavenly army battling the dragon, Satan, and his messengers, hurling them to the earth. Thus, he is seen as the commander of the heavenly army and a representative against evil.
