This sculpture depicts a stallion standing on its hind legs, crafted entirely from cast bronze. In the Stallion Statue, the horse’s hind hooves rest on a simulated rock base, the contact points between the hooves and the rock clearly defined for stability. The forelegs are raised simultaneously, the knees bent, and the hooves tucked in, creating a typical leaping posture. The horse’s body gradually rises from the hind legs forward, with a slight arch in the back and a tucked-in abdomen. The neck is noticeably elongated and tilts forward and upward, with a natural transition to the head. The ears are erect, the nose is straight, and the mouth is closed.
In the Rearing Horse Garden Statue, the mane is depicted as individual, flowing strands that curl backward, each with a clear edge, gradually increasing in length from the top of the head to the rear. The tail in the Stallion Statue also hangs down in strands. The joints of the limbs are clearly defined, and muscles are expressed through surface undulations, such as the raised shoulders and the thicker volume of the hind thighs. The base, an irregularly shaped rock with rough edges, contrasts with the smooth surface of the horse’s body, making it suitable for placement in outdoor grassy or garden environments.
