1. Introduction of Roman Couple Statue
This marble group sculpture, Venus and Mars, is from the Hadrian period of ancient Rome (c. 120-140 AD) and is now housed in the Louvre Museum. While its subject matter draws from the mythological relationship between Venus and Mars, its significance extends beyond mythological narrative.
