Gerald Holtom is a British artist, designer and pacifist. He was born in 1914 and graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. In 1958, on the eve of the march organized by the British Nuclear Disarmament Campaign (CND), Holtom was invited to design a logo for the movement. He combined the flag forms of “N (Nuclear)” and “D (Disarmament)” in Morse code to create a pattern with a “Y” shape in the center and a ring outside. He once said that this pattern looks very much like the posture of a desperate person with his arms hanging down. This Peace Circle Symbol sculpture is made of mirrored stainless steel with a strong sense of modernity, with the peace symbol designed by Gerald Holtom as the core shape.
There are many religious symbols etched on the front of the sculpture, such as the cross, the word “Om”, the crescent star, Tai Chi, the Dharma wheel, the Star of David, etc., which are arranged densely and evenly, symbolizing that various cultures and beliefs can coexist under the framework of peace. The Peace Circle Symbol sculpture has a regular and full structure and neat lines, which is suitable for being placed in public squares, religious dialogue places or art spaces. Arturban Statue can customize various stainless steel statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
