Matteo Pugliese is an Italian contemporary sculptor. He was born in Milan in 1974 and spent his childhood in Sardinia. He has been interested in art since he was a child. Although he did not receive systematic art training, he insisted on self-taught sculpture and entered the University of Milan to study for a degree in modern literature as an adult. While in school, he continued to create sculptures, and eventually held his first solo exhibition with the encouragement of his friends, and embarked on the path of professional art.
