Bacchus is the Roman god of wine, corresponding to Dionysus in Greek mythology. He is considered the ruler of grapes, wine, drama, and festive revelry. In mythology, he is the son of Zeus (Jupiter in Roman mythology), king of the gods, and Semele, a mortal.
