1. Introduction of Huge Spider Sculpture

Louise Bourgeois (1911–2010) was a highly influential French-American artist of the 20th century, renowned for her sculptures, installations, and prints. Her work was deeply influenced by her personal experiences, particularly childhood memories, family relationships, and subconscious psychology, often expressing emotions and trauma through symbolic imagery. Her most famous series is Maman, featuring spiders as a metaphor for motherhood—both the weaver and repairer of her web, and a symbol of protection and nourishment. The Large Spider Sculpture features a high-arched structure with eight slender metal legs that curve irregularly, their joints slightly angular, resembling the segmented structure of a real insect. Each leg tapers towards the ground, creating a stable yet open spatial silhouette. The abdomen is oval and drooping, with visible segmentation and texture on its surface.
