1. Introduction of George Washington Bust Statue
George Washington (1732–1799) was a key military leader during the American Revolutionary War and the first president of the United States, widely regarded as the “Father of the Nation.” He served as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, was elected the first president of the United States in 1789, and served until 1797, setting an important precedent for the term system and peaceful transfer of power in American presidency. This original George Washington Bust Statue was created by the American Neoclassical sculptor Hiram Powers, and its depiction was based on a portrait of Washington created by Jean-Antoine Houdon.
