1. Introduction of Egyptian Head Bust

This sculpture, dating from the Saite period (26th Dynasty) of ancient Egypt, is a replica of the head of Ankh-Khonsu. The Saite period, which lasted from approximately 664 to 525 BC, is considered a period of renaissance in ancient Egyptian culture. The rulers of the time actively returned to the artistic traditions of the Old and Middle Kingdoms, restoring a classical sense of solemnity and sacredness. Ankh-Khonsu was a common name in ancient Egypt, meaning “Life of Khonsu.” Khonsu was one of the three Theban gods (the moon god), in charge of the moon, time, and healing. Individuals named “Ankh-Khonsu” were often associated with religion, priesthood, or nobility. This Egyptian Head Bust is not only a work of art but also a concrete embodiment of ancient beliefs and spirituality.

The sculpture, which is a half-body head, despite being partially broken, still exudes elegance and dignity. The facial features are clear and full, with deep, focused eyes. The figure in the Egyptian Head Bust wears a typical ancient Egyptian headdress, with delicate, flowing lines that imbue the figure with a sense of solemnity and authority. The overall appearance is simple and powerful, and the broken parts reveal a sense of history accumulated over the years. Arturban Statue can customize various Egyptian Art statues.
