1. Introduction of Clam Shell Bench
This sculpture uses open seashells and pearls as its main design elements, constructed entirely of fiberglass, and combines decorative sculpture with seating functionality. The main body of the Clam Shell Bench consists of two open seashells; the upper shell opens backward to form a natural backrest silhouette, while the lower shell opens forward to serve as a seat. The edges of the seashells are rounded and undulating, and a semi-circular pearl outline is placed in the center of the shell’s interior, using a simplified design to highlight the marine theme. A sandy-textured base supports the piece, allowing it to blend easily into the outdoor landscape.
This artwork not only features prominent marine elements but also provides rest and interactive functions. Fiberglass is suitable for shaping large curved surfaces and complex seashell silhouettes, while its relatively light weight makes it easy to transport and install.
