Marine de Soos is a French contemporary sculptor known for her unique bronze sculptures. Her art often combines elements of Eastern and African culture to depict the theme of harmony between man and nature. Through the detailed carving of human and animal forms, Marine de Soos’s works deeply connect emotions with the natural world. She is particularly good at using bronze materials, giving her works a vivid texture, making each sculpture full of power and depth. This Boatman Sculpture shows a boatman on a bamboo raft.
The boatman holds the paddle, his body slightly turned to one side, and his eyes look into the distance, as if he is looking forward to a destination in the distance. The design of the bamboo raft is simple and full of primitive feeling. The bamboo strips in the Boatman Sculpture are neatly arranged, stable and flexible, and seem to be very integrated with nature. Two cormorants perch next to the boatman. Like the boatman, they seem to share the understanding and participation of life in the water. The bucket next to it also adds a breath of life to this work, which may be a container for fish or other gifts from nature. Arturban statue can customize various Traditional Art statues.
