This bronze sculpture is a replica of the famous Farnese Hercules. The original was unearthed at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome, Italy, and is now housed in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. This Ancient Statue of Hercules depicts the hero Hercules in a resting position after completing the Twelve Labors, a pinnacle of classical male physique representation.
Hercules, depicted with a powerful and muscular physique, leans slightly on a staff covered with the skin of a Nemean lion, clutching a golden apple, a symbol of victory, behind his right hand. This pose conveys both heroic strength and a sense of calm and reflection after exertion. The composition of the Ancient Greek Hercules Statue is composed with a sense of balance, with the weight of the body resting primarily on the right leg, creating a graceful “S-shaped” balance.
Crafted from bronze using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, this replica has been polished and oxidized to achieve a natural patina. The undulations of muscle, the texture of the hair, and the skin are rendered with remarkable fidelity. This Ancient Statue of Hercules is suitable for both art collections and outdoor displays. Arturban Statue can customize various greek mythology statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
