The Thousand-Armed Guanyin is one of the most representative Bodhisattva images in Buddhism, its full name being “Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin Bodhisattva,” an incarnation of Guanyin Bodhisattva. In Buddhist culture, Guanyin Bodhisattva symbolizes compassion and salvation, believed to be able to hear the prayers of all beings and offer assistance. “Thousand arms” signifies immeasurable power, capable of extending a helping hand to save all beings; “thousand eyes” symbolize wisdom that perceives the suffering of the world. This 1000 Armed Avalokiteshvara Statue features the solemn image of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin, depicted in a seated posture. Guanyin sits serenely on a blooming lotus throne, symbolizing purity and enlightenment.
In the thousands hands guan yin, Guanyin Bodhisattva’s main hands are clasped together at her chest, expressing compassion and prayer. Numerous arms radiate outwards from behind, each holding a different implement, symbolizing the Bodhisattva’s multiple powers to save sentient beings. Guanyin wears a magnificent five-Buddha crown, adorned with small Buddha images and intricate patterns, her face serene and compassionate. The entire 1000 Armed Avalokiteshvara Statue is made of bronze with a gilded finish, giving the overall image a solemn and magnificent visual effect.
