Alan Turing (1912–1954) was a British mathematician, logician, cryptographer, and pioneer of computer science. His concept of the “Turing machine” laid the foundation for modern computer theory; later discussions about whether machines can think also made him a key figure in the history of artificial intelligence. During World War II, Turing participated in breaking the German Enigma code at Bletchley Park, significantly impacting Allied intelligence operations. This Alan Turing Sculpture is the Alan Turing Memorial in Sackville Park, Manchester, England, and is a bench-style public memorial sculpture.
Turing, dressed in a suit, sits quietly to one side of the bench, upright and serene. He holds an apple in one hand, a detail often interpreted as related to the end of Turing’s life: a bitten apple was found beside him when he died, thus the apple has become a frequently mentioned symbolic element in commemorations of him. The figures in this Alan Turing Sculpture are bronze in texture, with realistic depictions of clothing folds, faces, hands, and sitting postures; the wooden benches have empty spaces so that visitors can sit and take photos or linger. Arturban statue can customize various figure statues. Welcome to contact us.
