1. Introduction of Statue Eros and Psyche
This Amor and Psyche Statue draws inspiration from the classic myth of Cupid and Psyche, depicting the moment when Cupid carries Psyche to the realm of the gods at Olympus, helps her overcome trials, and ultimately achieves eternal union. Psyche, in mythology, symbolizes the soul and beauty; her story with Cupid involves encounter, separation, trials, and reunion, making her a frequent subject of Western art for expressing the protection, trust, and sublimation of love. In the Statue Eros and Psyche, winged Cupid spreads his wings, embracing the nestled Psyche, their bodies overlapping to create an upward-leaning composition.
This sculpture is made of fiberglass, with an overall white, stone-like finish. The face, curls, wings, clothing folds, and rock-like base are all meticulously detailed.
