1. Introduction of Venus of Arles Statue
This Roman Goddess Venus Statue is a recreation of the classic “Venus of Arles,” crafted from marble with a delicate and warm texture. The original, unearthed in Arles, France, and now housed in the Louvre, is considered a continuation of the artistic tradition of the ancient Greek sculptor Praxiteles. The figure in the Venus of Arles Statue stands naturally, one leg bearing weight while the other is slightly bent, creating a stable yet dynamic structure.
The upper body is bare, with smooth and simple lines; the lower body is wrapped in fabric, the folds cascading naturally from the waist to cover the legs, creating clear layers.
