The Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, also known as the “Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva,” is one of the most symbolic bodhisattvas in Buddhism. Its Sanskrit name, Avalokiteshvara, means “one who observes the sounds of the world.” In Mahayana Buddhism, Avalokiteshvara represents boundless compassion; the thousand arms symbolize her vast power to save sentient beings, assisting them from different directions; the thousand eyes signify her insight into the suffering of the world, possessing wisdom and awareness. This Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Sculpture, based on the Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, is made of fiberglass and features a seated figure on a lotus pedestal, with a stable structure and clear layers.
