1. Introduction of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Sculpture

The Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, also known as the “Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva,” is one of the most symbolic bodhisattvas in Buddhism. Its Sanskrit name, Avalokiteshvara, means “one who observes the sounds of the world.” In Mahayana Buddhism, Avalokiteshvara represents boundless compassion; the thousand arms symbolize her vast power to save sentient beings, assisting them from different directions; the thousand eyes signify her insight into the suffering of the world, possessing wisdom and awareness. This Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Sculpture, based on the Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, is made of fiberglass and features a seated figure on a lotus pedestal, with a stable structure and clear layers.

The main figure in the 1000 Armed Avalokiteshvara Statue has a serene face, with hands clasped in prayer at the chest. Multiple arms spread out in a fan shape, each holding a different ritual implement or forming a mudra, arranged closely and orderly. Multiple facets are superimposed above the head, echoing the flame-shaped halo behind. The surface is painted with a combination of gold and skin tone, with smooth lines in the clothing and red outlines at the edges, enhancing the three-dimensionality of the form. The overall design of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Sculpture retains the solemn characteristics of religious sculpture while also being suitable for indoor worship or spatial display.
