1. Introduction of White Guanyin Statue
Guanyin Bodhisattva, whose Sanskrit name is Avalokiteshvara, is a Bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism renowned for her great compassion and vows. The *Lotus Sutra*, in its chapter on the Universal Gate, records that Guanyin saves sentient beings by appearing in whatever form is needed to deliver them, with her core practice being “hearing the cries of suffering and relieving them of pain,” that is, observing the cries of all suffering in the world and offering liberation.
