1. Introduction of Michelangelo’s Bacchus Sculpture

Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, corresponding to the Greek Dionysus, was considered the master of grapes, wine, and festive rituals. Traditionally, he is often depicted with attendants, most notably the half-man, half-goat satyrs and the free-spirited maenads. Satyrs, symbolizing instinct and natural impulses, are often depicted holding grapes, wine jugs, or shepherd’s flutes, active in the Bacchus procession; sometimes, a more childlike “satyr” appears, presented in child proportions but retaining features such as goat legs and a tail. This Michelangelo’s Bacchus Sculpture replica, modeled after Michelangelo’s “Bacchus,” is crafted from marble with a pure white matte finish.

The sculpture depicts a naked young Bacchus with thick, curly hair and a slightly dazed expression, befitting the god’s slightly intoxicated state. His right hand holds a wine cup, the fingers naturally touching the rim. Behind him stands a young satyr boy, whose form is a hybrid of a human upper body and a lamb’s leg, holding a large bunch of grapes and looking blissfully content. The Michelangelo’s Bacchus Sculpture has a multi-layered circular base structure, suitable for indoor and outdoor display. Arturban Statue can customize greek and roman mythology statues.
