This statuette, “An Ancestral King,” dates from the Late to Early Ptolemaic period (390–246 BCE), dating to the 30th Dynasty or later. This period marked the end of indigenous Egyptian rule, but religious traditions and ancestor worship persisted. The term “Ancestral King” was not a specific pharaoh, but rather symbolized the authority and divine status of successive kings. It was often used in sacrificial and religious ceremonies to emphasize the current ruler’s connection to ancient traditions. The Egyptian King Statue depicts a kneeling pharaoh.
He wears the classic Nemes turban, with the Uraeus (sacred snake) symbolizing royal authority adorning his forehead. His braid is meticulously detailed. The figure in the Pharaoh Sculpture kneels with his right knee, his left leg raised, and his left arm resting on his chest. Although one arm is missing, his reverent posture is still evident. The Egyptian King Statue is well-proportioned, with natural musculature and facial lines. The braid at the back is gathered into a long, thin tail, emphasizing the rigor and elegance of the figure. Arturban Statue can customize various Egyptian Art statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
