1. Introduction of Gorilla Bust

French sculptor Quentin Garel was born in 1975 and is famous for his exaggerated and deformed animal head sculptures. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His works often use wood, bronze and cast iron as media, and use the deformation of animal faces and skeletons to reveal the primitive emotions of human beings and their complex attitudes towards nature. His works are not a realistic reproduction of nature, but rather use satirical and symbolic language to explore the wildness, violence and fragility behind civilization. This sculpture is one of Quentin Garel’s famous “Gorilla Bust” and has a very expressive appearance.

The gorilla face sculpture is cast in bronze, and the surface treatment presents a sense of light in different colors. The upper part presents the shape of a gorilla with a frown, and the deep eye sockets reveal anger and alertness; the middle part is two towering and exaggerated nostrils; the big mouth below is slightly drooping. The overall shape of the Gorilla Bust is between concrete and abstract, with a strong psychological suggestion. Arturban Statue can customize various replica statues.
